Christmas is less than 20 weeks away don't you know?!

My family has always had huge christmases, as a kid there were always 12 of us squeezed into a house for near on a week with enough pressents to fill a small conservatory and enough booze to sink a ship. As we've got older the 'children' (though we're all adults now) have come and gone and the the number of people round the table has been creeping up, Christam always was my favourite time of year, and now I have children of my own I live for Christmas, I can't wait for the girls to be old enough to get excited by santa and snow and cosy night with mince pies watching seasonal films.

However, with so many people to buy for (there's also my husbands family, and our friends) planning has to start early, last year I left it a bit late and everyone got fizz and chocolate selection boxes, but I don't feel I can be quite that remise this year.

I have a few ideas after poking round on pinterest:

Firstly for the alcoholics in my life: Infused vodka!

I plan on keeping an eye out for Absolute Vodka on offer and getting in a couple of bottles, I will make a Lemon and Rosemary infused vodka and put my slightly famous lemon vodka rissoto recipe on a tag and I'm thinking of a cocoa nib vodka (because I can make that in my cream whipper closer to the time) but I'm not sure what recipe I'd put with it.

and Infused Tequila

Next things next in Jeffrey Morganthaler book "The Bar Book' He has an amazing looking recipe for strawberry tequila and I've got to have a go at that!

Next for the children and t-totalers in my life: Biscuit Sand Jars

I'm going to get some big jars and layer (like with the pretty coloured sand jars you used to be able to make when I was little) the dry ingredients for some christmas biscuits or cake in them with a recipe complete with cookie cutters.

I have a few whisky drinkers in my life so...

Whisky stones! I've foudn soem online htat fit into the budget, so I'm going ot get some of those too!

From the girls:

I'm going to get some Fimo so that Boo can make some christmas decorations from her and Bel.

What ideas do you all have up your sleeves for Chrismas guys?
