I am highly proficient in both Microsoft Windows and Macintosh operating systems with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and iWorks suites. A customer facing role in a retail environment. Fast paced with a high stock turnover. I developed a very fast pace on the POS system whilst still ensuring high levels of customer service. I received comprehensive age related sales training with regular refresher training.

A telecommunications customer contact centre alongside a mobile phone repair centre. Assisting customers with booking in units for repair and keeping them informed on repair updates. This involved taking payments securely over the phone and data entry to record customer contact.

Senior Sales Assistant

09/11-09/12 (Contract ended 03/13)

A supervisory customer focused role in a gourmet speciality shop. My role in the position of Senior Sales Assistant furthered my responsibilities as a sales assistant (below). Duties included taking responsibility for the store in the absence of higher management; being the point of contact for customer queries and complaints, leading other staff, opening and closing and maintaining the general security in the store. There was computer and Admin work involving the use of Microsoft office; helping set up and organise rota's, filing, sending post and telephone communications with both customers and other stores within the company. I also was involved with visual merchandising and stock replenishment to best display products and offers in order to increase sales. I was very proficient at cashing up at the end of the day, and end of week banking. My role also included accepting, checking in and storing deliveries. Housekeeping duties included keeping all areas of the unit clean, maintaining compliance with health and safety and routinely checking the fire alarms. Given that we had testers available which were prepared onsite I also ensured our Food Hygiene processes were followed in the kitchen and on shop floor for all samples and testers available to customers.

A customer focued role in a gourment speciality shop. My role was to provide first class customer service including greeting, assisting and introducing customers to the brand and products, stock replenishment and carrying out transactions on the till. I quickly earned a set of keys so I could open the store without supervision, which was unprecedented at the time.

During my time at the UEA a few friend and I brought Assassins Society back to the university. I spent a year as the Union Council representative and a year as the Treasurer. As a committee member I was also in charge of arranging games and ensuring they ran smoothly.
