So It seems that putting Boo in knickers has really done the trick! It took barely a few weeks and we are dry in the day, still no sign of being dry at night though.
For those of you who haven't seen our past posts about the potty training we'd been using pull-ups' but our Boo is a bit on the lazy side, so she was treating the pull-ups like normal nappies. In desperation I decided to go with an all or nothing approach, we went to Sainsbury's and bought her a mountain of knickers.
We literally had the whole supply of knickers in a basket next to the potty, all on a puppy training pad and for about a week she had accident after accident and I was really starting to regret the whole thing (and fear for my carpet!!) but then it just kind of clicked, and we went from 10+ pairs of knickers a day to just a couple, to just 1. We still had her in pull ups out of the house initially, but we'd get her to go to the loo before we went out, when we got to where we were going, then every half hour or so whilst we were out, and now she's also dry out of the house.
Boo has now completely shunned the potty, and happily uses the toilet at home, she does need a little encouragement sometimes when out and about, and I feel quite bad for other customers using public toilets when she decides that the toilets are a scary place, as she has a hell of a scream!
Boo being dry in the day has been a real load off my mind, I was quite concerned about her going to pre-school still in nappies, and doing changes on the both of them along with breastfeeding seemed to swallow up all of my day, between her gaining that little bit of independence with toilet training and Evie feeding less we have that little bit more time for fun activities.
