Almost Potty Training Boo

a couple of weeks ago a very strange thing happened. Boo got suddenly very upset and insisted we went upstairs. I dragged myself out of my nest and took her up, to witness her put the booster seat on the toilet, take off her nappy and trousers and wait expectantly to be put on the loo.
Now I've tried on a few occasions to get her to use the seat, but with absolutely no success, the only time I've managed to get her to sit on there for more than 30 seconds of screaming was when I got some cups out and she and I poured water down the gap in front of her to imitate weeing, she found this to be a fun game, but little more other than that.
Upon sitting on the loo, she had me turn a tap on and then she went for a wee, clapping and cheering as she did so. Much congratulating and good grilling was called as a result and then the toilet game began. We proceeded to spend three hours (I kid you not) in a cycle of her sitting on a loo, using some loo roll, washing her hands and then insisting on going to the next loo (we have two toilets in the house and she unearthed the potty) and she did go for a wee a few more times. By the time she got bored of the game I had a stitch in my side from lifting her on and off loo seats and walking up and down stairs, and was a mixture of exhausted, elated and frustrated. I eventually wrestled a nappy back on her (she settled with a reusable) and she was very proud of herself.
Of course, a couple of days of pull up nappies later and she was back to secret pooing and not letting us know that she needed a wee, but I'm hoping that with a little encouragement we can get her to try again every so often, and that the every so often will gradually turn into something more long term. I had considered trying putting her into knickers and trying her that way, but she seemed so suddenly traumatised by the toilet, and with my recent bump scares it didn't seem like the right time for either of us, so the pull ups have gone in the draw and the normal nappies have come back out.
