Sassy Bloom Third Trimester Box

This post has lost some content in being moved between the blogs, I shall dig the pictures and video out and pop them back in at some point!

I've mentioned previously that I'm a bit of a glutton for Subscriptions, and the idea of a subscription service that sends me boxes catered to my stage of pregnancy is right up my street. There are a few services available, one of which is Sassy Bloom.

Sassy Bloom caters from the 3rd trimester through until the baby is 2, and you can sign up for single boxes, 3 boxes, 6 boxes, a year worth of boxes or a full 2 year subscription. The boxes start at £29.00 and get cheaper the bigger the subscription you sign up for, so for instance an annual subscription brings the boxes down to £23 but you do pay all at once.

The boxes during pregnancy contain a mixture of things for the mum to be and for the baby, and once baby arrives the boxes are catered to the baby stage of development. When you sign up you give a few details to facilitate this; the babies date of birth (or due date), the babies sex (there is an option for unisex if you don't yet know) and the baby's name (this is for personalised gifts) The thing that really appealed to me about the boxes was that possibility of getting personalised items in the box.

I found Sassy Bloom months ago and have been chomping at the bit to get signed up, but I had to be 28 weeks before I could order a box. Ordering was pretty easy, and it took me a matter of minutes to get signed up and order my first box. Once I was signed up I got my confirmation email through, which said I'd receive my box by the end of the month, now I signed up on 31st which was poor timing on my part, so I was expecting the box to arrive later this month.

Here is an awful, cringeworthy video of me unboxing my sassy bloom box!

Keel Toys Belle Rose Bear Soft Toy

This bear is absolutely gorgeous and the first thing that caught my eye when I opened the box! He's lovely and soft and will be perfect for bump (if our toddler doesn't get her hands on him first!) I will definitely investigate this brand further! He would normally be £10 on his own, so was lovely to find in the box!

Little Bird Told Me Baby Car Sign

This would be lovely alternative to the usual baby on board signs, it's eye-catching and soft and a fantastic quality. We don't actuallyhave a car, so it's perhaps less useful for us, but I'll either take off the suction cap and add it to the toy box or pass it along to family.

Shea Mooti Mama's Belly Rub Stretch Mark Oil

I really like this product. It has a lovely relaxing lavender scent and feels hydrating without being greasy or sticky. I would definitely recommend this to friends, and will be looking of ratios on the shelves! I was a little surprised to realise this normally retails at £14.99, it's a lot of money for a stretch mark oil, and I wasn't aware that was the kind of going rate for such a product, but I guess if it works it's worth the money, and it really does smell lovely...

Beaba Scissors

This is a brand we've come across before, I think we got some of their things as a new baby gift for our daughter. I'm actually pretty squeamish about using nail scissors on wriggly babies, but small scissors are infinitely useful, so they'll be used for something!

Sock On's - 0-6 months in Pink

We do actually have a stash of sock ons left over from our first child. These are a fantastic product, and something I have bought numerous times for expectant friends. They do just what they say and stop socks from going awol from small babies feet when you're not looking. We did find these to be a little susceptible to vanishing in the wash however, so we have a little laundry net that we put them in.

Spatone Liquid Iron Suppliment

This is one of the more pleasant iron supplements I've tried, the apple flavour does help initially, however like all of the other iron liquids I've tried previously it has a very metallic taste!

The box had a total value of £42.00 which for a box I paid £19.00 for is fantastic value for money, I'm really quite interested to see what else they send, so I'm actually going to carry on my subscription, especially as I only have 2 months left of my other subscription box.

If you're interested in giving sassy bloom a go I have a shiny referral code for you: boonbelx this gives you £10 off your first box, bringing it down to £19.
