Project B: Box 4

My second Project B box arrived this morning (it's box 4 in the 'series' of boxes but I didn't sign up from the start) and I am very impressed!

For those of you who didn't see my last post, Project B is a subscription service that send you a themed box every month from 12 weeks, up to a potential total of 7 boxes depending on when you sign up. They're £14 each with the option to round that up to £15 with a monthly charity donation. This months theme is Relax.

I'd had a sneak peak on the website, so had been expecting most of this, the Full sized bottle of Eisberg is very generous though, I had been expecting a mini bottle. I am quite a fan of the Eisberg brand, I'm an enthusiastic wine drinker (but by no means a consosier) so finding alcohol free wine that doesn't taste too different to normal wine was a very exciting moment. I'm not going to claim that it tastes exactly like standard wine, but it's a close second, and low in calories, initially I was a bit unsure (the red which was my first experience of Eisberg is a bit 'watery' tasting) but it's grown on me and at less than £3 a bottle I might actually stick with is even past birth and breastfeeding.

The next thing I think is worth a mention is the Natal Hypnotherapy voucher in the background of the box picture. This isn't what I'd been expecting in the box, but I'm really happy it was in there, reading back through my previous posts you'll see that I didn't have a particularly straight forward birth with Boo. In an attempt to be more calm and controlled this time round I've actually already bought the Book and 4 piece Hospital birth CD box set from this company, and have really been enjoying working through the books exercises and the pregnancy relaxation CD. I groaned a bit when I saw the packet in the box because I thought it was a download for one of the CD's I already had, but it is actually a £10 voucher to spend on anything in the store. This is the full price of a download or brings a CD down to £1.99 before p&p which is brilliant, especially as I'd been eyeing up the breastfeeding companion CD and the Labour companion CD (the box set comes with just a music CD for labour) now I just have to decide which one to go for and whether to get it as a download (so I can have it now and for free) or as a CD (so I can pass it on)

The little bio oil sachets are a lovely size, they've gone straight into the hospital bag (yes, I have already started packing it, I am over prepared) So I can't comment on what they're like, but will post an update here once I've used them for anyone interested.

The next thing I'll come onto is the St Eval Candle Company Tranquility candle, it's worth £9 and lasts 85 hours however I have to admit I personally really dislike the smell, somewhere in the depths of a cupboard we have a massage oil that smells exactly like it, and despite being in our possession for years it seems to be never ending, I'm absolutely sick of the smell, the fact that that candle will last 85 hours actually fills me with dread, I shall be passing it on to a friend to enjoy! This isn't a groan about the product it's self though, it's just an unfortunate coincidence that there aren't many scents that I dislike and this is one of them...

Which brings us last (but not least) to the Maternelle relaxing bath soak! It's Lavender with enriching vitamin E and Rosehip oil, it has a gentle, pleasant scent and Boo will be spending some quality time with daddy tonight so that I can give it a go, if the reviews on the website are anything to go by I have high expectations! The Maternelle Mum to Be range doesn't seem to have it's own website but is available in Waitrose and is currently 1/3 off.

As I mentioned in passing the website shows a yoga dvd in the box which I was secretly quite looking forward to but this was replaced with the Natal Hypnotherapy gift card, I'm not complaining as I'm more than happy with the gift card I got, but as the next box is show to have a 'birth rocks' book, I'm hoping that it will actually contain a gift card like this box did so that I can choose the Yoga dvd myself... else I'm just going to have to buy it!

To summarise, I was once again very happy with the contents of my Project B box and would be more than happy to recommend it, so get yourself over to Project B!
